Archicad + ArchiFrame Training and Certification

Do you want to learn to build in wood? And do you want to access and bid on new housing projects for private clients via SupaQuote?

Then this five-day Archicad + ArchiFrame course is something you should consider.

Over five days you’ll learn to handle the entire process from sketching in BIM/Archicad to designing timber structures in ArchiFrame, with export to CNC milling for production.

The course is part of a certification program, where you complete an assignment 4 weeks after the course, with a weekly support session. This assignment has to be submitted for evaluation, which, together with a final exam (multiple-choice test), will determine whether you’ll pass the certification. A passed certification gives you access to projects on SupaQuote.

Course summary

  • The course is in English, and takes place at GRAPHISOFT Center Danmark, Rentemestervej 62, 2400 Copenhagen NV

  • The course last 5 days (January 12th - 16th) with two days dedicated to Archicad + three days ArchiFrame training.

  • After the first five days there is a 4 week period of home assignments with weekly support.

  • This is followed by final certification which gives you access to bid on projects via SupaQuote. Projects include new building projects and extensions for private clients that have signed up with a specfic project.

  • A 3-month pilot license for Archicad and ArchiFrame is included.

  • Target group: architects, architectural technologist and construction managers and engineers with prior knowledge of other CAD/3D software programs.

Course content

The course consists of two days Archicad training followed by 3 days ArchiFrame traning.

Archicad basic course:

  • 3D modeling

  • 2D drawing setup

  • Quantity take-offs

  • Visualization

  • Short introduction to working with point clouds

  • Short introduction to LCA calculation with DesignLCA

Twinmotion:

  • Linking Archicad and Twinmotion

  • Short introduction to “Realtime Rendering”

ArchiFrame:

  • Setup of building systems in ArchiFrame

  • From BIM to detailed design of timber structures

  • Setup of element drawings

  • Export from ArchiFrame to CNC milling
